Dark-eyed junco


A dark-eyed junco (Junco hyemalis) in winterberry (Ilex verticillata).  Polychromos Colored Pencil on Bristol Board.

What a lovely drawing! One of my favorite birds...and the berries are so cheerful!
(I was just sitting on my deck where I was watching a pair of Junco's gound feeding under one of my many bird feeders.)
